Project Overview

DueDEX is a leading crypto futures trading platform that allows users to trade cryptocurrency derivatives with high leverage. The platform offers both desktop web and mobile versions (iOS and Android) to ensure that users can trade and manage their accounts on-the-go. As the UI/UX designer for this project, I was tasked with creating a seamless and intuitive experience for users across multiple devices, while integrating real-time data, advanced charting tools, and easy-to-navigate trading interfaces.

The main challenge in this project was to deliver a unified experience across different platforms, while accommodating the unique needs of both beginner and advanced traders. The goal was to design a powerful yet simple interface that would empower users to trade with confidence and ease. Through extensive user research, competitor analysis, and close collaboration with the development team, the design process was aimed at providing a visually appealing, responsive, and highly functional trading platform.

UI/UX Design Process

1. Competitive Research & Market Analysis: Analyzed existing crypto futures trading platforms to understand best practices and identify areas for improvement in design and user experience.
2. User Personas & Target Audience: Created detailed personas to identify and prioritize the needs of different types of traders, from novice users to experienced professionals.
3. Information Architecture & User Flow Mapping: Designed the information architecture to ensure intuitive navigation across the platform, from market selection to trade execution.
4. Wireframing & Prototyping: Developed wireframes for key screens on desktop and mobile, followed by high-fidelity prototypes to validate the layout and flow of the platform.
5. Visual Design & Branding: Applied a modern and professional aesthetic that aligned with the platform’s cutting-edge technology, with consistent use of color schemes, typography, and iconography.
6. Responsive Design for Multiple Platforms: Ensured the design was fully responsive, adapting seamlessly to different screen sizes across desktop and mobile web, as well as native iOS and Android apps.
7. Real-Time Data Integration & Charting: Focused on the display of real-time data such as price feeds, charts, and order books, ensuring a smooth and accurate experience for traders.
8. User Testing & Feedback: Conducted usability testing with real traders to identify pain points, improve usability, and refine the design for better user satisfaction.
9. Iterative Refinement: Refined the UI/UX based on user feedback and data, optimizing the experience to reduce friction and improve overall performance.
10. Final Handoff & Design Support: Collaborated with the development team to ensure a smooth handoff of design specifications, providing ongoing support during the implementation phase.
